L’ailier rapproché recrue des Giants de New York, Daniel Bellinger, a été transporté dans un hôpital local de la région de Jacksonville à la suite d’une blessure à l’œil effrayante subie au deuxième trimestre.
Bellinger a été piqué dans les yeux par le demi de coin des Jaguars Tre Herndon avec 1:09 à faire en première mi-temps. Il semblait saigner de son œil gauche et a été emmené hors du terrain sur un chariot pour une évaluation plus approfondie.
Les Giants ne prennent aucun risque avec la blessure de Bellinger. Il sera ensuite évalué par des professionnels de la santé et traité en conséquence. On ne sait pas encore s’il sera autorisé à retourner dans le New Jersey avec l’équipe après le match ou s’il sera gardé toute la nuit pour évaluation.

Mise à jour : Bellinger est sorti de l’hôpital et est de retour avec l’équipe. “Son œil est terrible en ce moment”, a déclaré l’entraîneur-chef Brian Daboll après le match.
Bellinger est l’un des trois Giants à avoir mené le match avec des blessures en première mi-temps. Les joueurs de ligne offensive Ben Bredeson et Evan Neal ont quitté le match avec des blessures au genou.
