L’opposant Juan Guaido craint de «connaître le sort de Navalny»
Mercredi à Washington, Juan Guaido, l’opposant vénézuélien, a exprimé sa crainte de connaître le même sort qu’Alexei Navalny, l’opposant russe emprisonné s’il retournait dans son pays.
Juan Guaido, qui est arrivé aux États-Unis il y a plusieurs jours depuis la Colombie, d’où il a dit avoir été expulsé, participait à un forum de discussion au cercle de réflexion Wilson Center dans la capitale.
Des manifestants pro-Maduro ont perturbé la discussion, criant «Guaido est un menteur», avant d’être escortés hors de la salle.
Juan Guaido n’est pas persona non grata mais Washington a clairement pris ses distances avec celui qui fut un temps le protégé des États-Unis.
«Je ne suis au courant d’aucun projet» de réunion avec l’opposant, a affirmé mercredi le porte-parole adjoint du département d’État, Vedant Patel, interrogé lors de son point de presse quotidien sur une possible rencontre avec Juan Guaido cette semaine.
Ce dernier a indiqué avoir des rendez-vous avec des parlementaires américains mais aucune rencontre avec
Megan McKenna, très enceinte, admet qu’elle a du mal à préparer son sac d’hôpital Prada avant la date prévue : “J’ai l’impression d’avoir été traînée dans un buisson !”
