KTM struggles to keep up with Ducati at Italian GPKTM faced a tough challenge against Ducati at the Grand Prix of Italy, with Brad Binder slowed down by a lack of grip and Jack Miller limited in certain corners. Binder was the best “non-Ducati” rider, finishing fifth, but despite starting 11th, he was already seventh at the end of the first lap. Although Binder briefly surged to catch the competitors ahead of him, his speed started to decline and he saw the checkered flag secured four seconds behind Luca Marini. Miller finished two places behind Binder, saying that his pace was slow in the second part of all the chicanes and he lost a little bit of the front, while the Arrabbiata 2 was a little difficult due to the understeer. Ducati managed to secure a five-man sprint and a four-man race victory on their home turf. This has seen Binder drop to fourth place in the championship, but with 11 points gained, he is still glad to have progressed.
