Vincent Backeljau, a primary school teacher at the Institut de l’Annonciation in the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek, was the guest of La Première on Monday morning. This teacher is also the digital referent within his school and the creator of the website master-robot.be.
“In our school, we do not have a computer room, probably to avoid specifically teaching computer classes, as it is quite outdated. Instead, we prefer to integrate it into classroom use,” he explains. “In terms of equipment, we are not excessive. We have two laptops per class, but that starts from the third grade. We have a few tablets, about four or five per class. And in the younger classes, we do not have specific equipment, but we borrow it from other classes when necessary and in small amounts and thoughtfully.”
