A not-so-balanced PC configuration
It’s all very well having two RTX 4090, provided that the rest of the configuration follows…
The author specifies that he built this PC on a refurbished motherboard, an ASRock X570, available around €150. So an AM4 socket which he equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor with 64GB of RAM (also refurbished).
The author specifies that he was able to save a lot of money since he did not have to use an AMD Threadripper processor on a dedicated motherboard, which would have cost him much more.
Even though this is not a gaming-dedicated configuration despite the two RTX 4090, tell yourself that cryptocurrency miners used powerful graphics cards for farming. The author still specified that 80% of his budget went into the RTX 4090, and given their power and price, that’s understandable.
