According to their mother, Doja Cat’s brother has been violent towards her.
The singer’s mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, has requested a temporary restraining order against her 30-year-old son, Raman Dalithando Dlamini, and in her request, she also claimed that her daughter – whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – also needs to be protected from her brother.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Deborah stated that Raman inflicted cuts and bruises on his sister, broke her teeth, and destroyed or stole some of her property.
She goes on to claim that her son has verbally abused his famous sister in a “very degrading” manner and accuses him of making the 28-year-old star “feel in danger and traumatized”.
Regarding her own safety, Deborah claims to have been physically abused and threatened on several occasions by her son over the past year, with the most recent incident occurring earlier this month.
The judge granted Deborah’s request for a temporary restraining order pending a hearing for a permanent injunction, but did not grant the same protection to Doja, stating that she should file her own request for a restraining order.
Deborah also indicated in her documents that she had obtained a restraining order against Raman in the past, but it had since expired.
