Over 1,000 delegates will participate in the 11th East Africa Oil Conference and Exhibition to be held by Tanzania from March 5 to 7, 2025, organizers of the conference announced on Friday.
This conference will be organized by the East African Community (EAC) secretariat and EAC member countries, said the organization in a statement, noting that the conference will showcase the region’s investment potential and opportunities in the oil sector.
“We call on all member countries to collaborate with Tanzania in this planning to ensure the success of the conference,” said James Mataragio, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Tanzanian Ministry of the Interior.
Over the past two decades, this oil conference has provided an essential platform for dialogue between governments and industry players worldwide, the statement said, adding that since its inception in 2003, the conference has raised awareness of the region’s oil potential and technological advancements.
EAC member countries include Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Somalia.
