1 500 emplois seront perdus. Les magasins spécialisés sont à vendre. Le secteur industriel se contracte : c’est le résultat de la restructuration de Migros cette année, La société a lancé sa dernière phase mardi. Une suppression douloureuse, même si seulement 1,5 pour cent de tous les emplois du groupe sont directement concernés.
Migros est peut-être en crise. Mais elle poursuit sans hésiter « le chemin du retour vers le sommet », comme il est indiqué dans un document interne. Ce qui laisse penser qu’elle revient sur les rails : elle reste la marque suisse la plus populaire. Sa structure, certes lourde, repose sur plus de 2 millions de sociétaires. Le M orange est et reste omniprésent dans le pays.
La main gauche ne savait souvent pas ce que faisait la droite
Migros s’efforce désormais de retrouver une situation économique et financière plus saine. Dans le but de devenir plus efficace et de regagner les parts de marché perdues, elle vend des pièces détachées et rationalise sa gamme de produits. Il s’agit essentiellement d’un acte d’accusation contre une entreprise qui devançait la concurrence depuis des décennies et qui possédait un flair infaillible pour les tendances économiques.
Les entreprises industrielles devraient désormais devenir des « producteurs intégrés » au sein de l’ensemble de l’entreprise, écrit Migros. Ce qu’ils devraient être maintenant. Depuis trop longtemps, les différentes parties de la M-Industrie travaillent dans leurs propres jardins sans regarder leurs voisins par-dessus la clôture – et encore moins échanger des idées avec eux. Des développements de produits similaires ont eu lieu en parallèle. Souvent, la main gauche ne savait pas ce que faisait la droite – et le nombre de mains présentes a même surpris de nombreux Migros Intim.
Les magasins spécialisés du groupe, quant à eux, mènent une existence marginale. Le siège zurichois de l’Association coopérative Migros en régnait théoriquement. Mais sur place – comme c’est généralement le cas lorsqu’il s’agit de mise en œuvre au sein du groupe – les coopératives régionales ont eu le dernier mot. L’élan nécessaire à une concurrence de plus en plus féroce n’était ni nécessaire ni possible. Les gens ont manqué le développement du commerce en ligne, qui a tué les unités Migros trop petites.
Un éléphant dans la pièce
Tant l’exploitation de Migros Industrie que celle des magasins spécialisés ont souffert (et souffrent encore) d’un problème principal : la structure imbriquée du colosse, qui est habitée par d’innombrables « parties prenantes » – des groupes d’intérêt depuis les délégués régionaux avec leurs petites préoccupations jusqu’aux grands princes régionaux. qui… le domaine coopératif propre, voire la Suisse entière, est parfois trop petit. Et qui dépensent donc des millions de francs à l’étranger sans aucune inhibition.
Cet éléphant reste dans la pièce, apparemment immobile. Migros s’est restructurée l’année dernière – afin d’enliser une fois de plus son processus décisionnel et de donner plus de pouvoir aux régions, plutôt que moins. Il reste à voir si les réformes annoncées aujourd’hui aboutiront à des structures plus légères et à une meilleure contrôlabilité, comme le prévoient les objectifs stratégiques de sa « Mission 2030 ».
Au moins un point témoigne du succès : le balai en fer (selon les normes Migros) actuellement en train de balayer remet beaucoup de choses en question. Il appartient désormais aux dirigeants de Migros de discuter ouvertement de ces questions et de rendre transparents les problèmes restants.
