This is the motto of Madrigal by Fernando Pérez, an esoteric fable built, in the first part, around the love story of a handsome actor with a fat and ugly girl (does he have eyes for her, or for her luxurious apartment?) and, in the second part, it tells the story of a futuristic novel that the actor is writing (which turns Havana into a kind of dark playground and orgy with a film noir tone) ES “No todo es lo que parece”.
