LafargeHolcim, a subsidiary of the royal holding Al Mada, will have to cede a plot of land for the construction of a college in Tetouan.
According to documents consulted by Maghreb-Intelligence, this plot of land, with an area of 7,894 m2, is located in the Tamuda district in Tetouan.
The Moroccan cement maker will be expropriated at the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, with the agreement of her colleague at the Ministry of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit.
According to the decision of the public authorities, LafargeHolcim has a period of two months to oppose, as provided for by the legislation, this expropriation.
Leader in its sector, LafargeHolcim employs more than 1,000 collaborators in Morocco. It has been led by Said El Hadi since March 2023, replacing Ali Fassi Fehri.
