Genève-Servette has hired a seventh foreign player. It is the Finnish Henri Haapala (29 years old), who has signed a contract for the next 15 matches, until October 24th.
Henrik Haapala finished as the sixth top scorer of last season’s regular season in the Finnish Championship with Ilves Tampere. He scored 47 points (15 goals, 32 assists) in 47 matches.
Haapala had already played in Switzerland for Lugano during the 2018-2019 season (21 matches, 15 points).
Initially, he will be able to compensate for the absence of Swedish defenseman Theodor Lennström, who, due to a lower body injury, has not yet played in the league. The Swiss champion also has to deal with the injury of their strategist Tanner Richard.
