IQM Quantum Computers dévoile IQM Radiance : Une nouvelle ère de l’informatique quantique

IQM Quantum Computers introduces IQM Radiance, a groundbreaking quantum powerhouse with 150 qubits, paving the way for the democratization of quantum computing. Deployed in two uniquely powerful variants, creating a shockwave in the quantum market, one with 54 qubits expected in the third quarter of 2024, and a noteworthy 150-qubit one in the first round of the clock in 2025, IQM Radiance is here to push the boundaries of quantum computing. We invite you to watch this video for a taste of what a quantum computer is: IQM Radiance, a New Era of Quantum Computing.

Paris, November 9, 2023 – IQM Quantum Computers, the world’s leading provider of quantum computers, unveils its revolutionary new solution – “IQM Radiance”, propelling quantum computing into a new era marked by the adoption of systems with up to 150 qubits. IQM Radiance transcends limits, opening the door to real quantum applications for businesses and governments, while skillfully deploying in areas requiring high-performance computing and data centers. “It is high time for businesses to dive into the maelstrom of quantum computing, a strategic advantage awaits those who do so quickly. IQM Radiance targets specific application cases and allows for testing high-potential commercial applications. The list of appealing areas includes machine learning, cybersecurity, system control, optimization of energy networks and routes, medical research, chemistry, and carbon reduction,” proudly explains Dr. Jan Goetz, CEO and co-founder of IQM Quantum Computers.

The democratization of quantum computing takes shape with IQM Radiance. IQM Radiance sets an example following in the footsteps of its predecessor, IQM Spark. The latter, a quantum computer equipped with a pre-installed 5-qubit unit, was designed for universities and research institutes to shed light on their experiments. The company plans to launch Radiance with a capacity of 54 qubits in 2024, allowing pioneers to familiarize themselves with the system’s operations, integrate their usual environments, and explore algorithm behavior to carry out real experiments benefiting from the quantum advantage.

Upgrade to 150 Qubits. Moreover, IQM will offer its customers an upgrade to a 150-qubit system in 2025. The journey does not end there, IQM will continue to guide its customers on the quantum adoption wave by replacing the initial 150-qubit chips with more powerful models when they become available. Users will thus benefit from a real advantage in solving complex problems with less computing and energy time, while obtaining more precise results compared to those obtained with a conventional device of similar size, weight, and cost. IQM Quantum Computers, a leader in the evolution of quantum computing “We have big ambitions for IQM Radiance. Despite a relatively modest number of qubits, its performance and the quality of those qubits give this system undeniable quantum usefulness for many applications. Our users will benefit from a considerable lead for practical applications and system integration. Furthermore, our upgrade plan will allow early users to gain an edge as early as 2024, while enjoying a substantial increase in computing power thereafter,” proudly explains Dr. Björn Pötter, product manager at IQM Quantum Computers.

IQM has already proven itself in developing technologies for scaling quantum computers, notably through a successful partnership with institutions such as the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. This collaboration has resulted in a 20-qubit quantum computer that has achieved stunning results. IQM is preparing to test a 54-qubit system at VTT in the second quarter of 2024. “To meet the needs of our customers, we have a wide product portfolio with offerings that cover both the low and high ends of the market,” concludes Mr. Pötter, optimistically.
