KTM n’a pas pu rivaliser avec Ducati lors du GP d’Italie. Brad Binder a été freiné par un manque d’adhérence et Jack Miller a été limité dans certains virages. Malgré tout, Binder, cinquième pilote “non Ducati”, a su se battre et finir cinquième. Il a perdu le contact avec le groupe de tête et a fini derrière Luca Marini. Binder ne sait pas encore pourquoi il a eu des difficultés, mais il pense que c’est dû à la faible adhérence de ses pneus arrière. KTM, habituellement compétitive face à Ducati , n’a rien pu faire cette fois-ci face à la domination de la marque italienne sur ses terres. Miller a été confronté à un problème de sous-virage dans les chicanes de la deuxième partie de la course, ce qui l’a retardé. Cependant, il a réussi à finir huitième.
