Tracé – On Friday, April 28, the BICIS logo, formerly known as BNP PARIBAS and now SUNU Group, changed from green to red. This is a normal evolution after the Senegalese-French Pathé Dione bought the majority of the shares of the former French bank.
With the red, which is the color of SUNU Group, BICIS began its progressive mutation in terms of brand identity. Personnel from BNP Paribas, including expatriates, have either passed the torch to others or confirmed their intention to stay with S-UNU Group. In a few months, after customers have become accustomed to this new red logo, BICIS will change its name to SUNU Bank.
Furthermore, former Prime Minister Mahammed Boun Abdallah Dione has been appointed chairman of BICIS. The former chairman, also a former prime minister, Mamadou Lamine Loum, retains the presidency of the board of directors of a branch of SUNU Group, SUNU Participations Holding SA, which he already held jointly with BICIS -BNP Paribas.
