Geneva, Neuchatel or Vaud. In French-speaking Switzerland, every attempt at cantonal initiatives for dental insurance has been rejected in the polls. Would Valais have reserved the same fate for the text submitted by the Socialist Party of Western Valais (PSVr) in 2017? We may never know, even though the initiative is still pending. In response to this initiative and a postulate, issued by a PLR elected official and dealt with in parliament in November 2018, the canton presented, this Thursday, a “financial assistance project for dental care aimed at supporting low-income individuals.”

En réponse à cette initiative et à un postulat, émis par un élu PLR et traité au parlement en novembre 2018, le canton a présenté ce jeudi un «projet d’aide financière pour les soins dentaires destiné à soutenir les personnes de condition économique modeste».
