Tang Tan, an Apple executive, AAPL.O, who led the design of the iPhone and Apple Watch, is reportedly about to join LoveFrom, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Tan will leave Apple in February to work on a new hardware project related to artificial intelligence at LoveFrom, a design company led by Jony Ive, the designer of many of Apple’s iconic products, according to the report.
The products Tan will be working on are in the early stages, and OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, will provide LoveFrom with software capabilities, according to Bloomberg.
Apple did not respond to a request for comment. LoveFrom could not be reached for immediate comment.
