(Keystone-ATS) The president of the Swiss Young Socialists (JS), Nicola Siegrist, will step down next June. The 27-year-old man announced this on Sunday at the end of the party’s two-day annual meeting in Bümpliz (BE).
The Zurich cantonal parliamentarian and student has been part of the JS leadership for five years, including three as vice president and a year and a half as president. “After a long, exciting and intense period, the time has come to make way for the next generation,” explains Nicola Siegrist, quoted in a statement.
The successor will be chosen on June 29 by the delegates.
