Two Knights support players opened their account in the last seven minutes of the third period to tie the game at Rogers Place.
Ben Hutton and Keegan Kolesar, the latter at 17:52, both beat Stuart Skinner to tie the score at 4-4 when the Albertans thought they were in control.
