Marc-André Fleury is now alone in second place in NHL history for wins.
The Quebecois goaltender surpassed Patrick Roy for second place of all time by earning his 552nd win in the NHL on Monday. He made 21 saves in a 5-0 triumph against the New York Islanders.

Fleury had tied Roy on January 6 by defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3.
However, Fleury will have to find the Fountain of Youth if he hopes to one day claim the wins record. Martin Brodeur holds the record with a total of 691 wins in 1266 games between 1991 and 2015.
The milestones continue to accumulate for the 39-year-old goaltender. On December 31, Fleury became the fourth goaltender in history to reach the 1000 games played mark, after Brodeur, Roberto Luongo (1044) and Roy (1029).
Fleury now has a record of 552-324-92 with two ties, a goals against average of 2.59 and a save percentage of .912 in 1007 career regular season NHL games with the Wild, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Vegas Golden Knights and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Relegated to the role of backup behind Filip Gustavsson, his record is 8-9-3 with a 2.97 goals against average and a .897 save percentage this season.
Selected first overall by the Penguins in the 2003 draft, Fleury has won the Stanley Cup three times (2009, 2016, 2017) and the Vezina Trophy once (2021), awarded annually to the top goaltender in the League.
