Nvidia lance sa conférence annuelle des développeurs avec des annonces de nouveaux produits

SAN JOSE, 18 mars (Reuters) – Nvidia, the giant in semiconductor for artificial intelligence (AI), is kicking off its annual developer conference (GTC) on Monday, a key event in the industry where the focus is expected to be on announcements of new product launches.

These announcements will help determine if Nvidia can maintain its position as a leader in the AI-related components market, a sector that saw rapid growth last year. Nvidia dominates the market for AI chips for data centers, with a market share of around 80% last year.

Nvidia’s market share is expected to drop by several points in 2024, with the arrival of new products developed by competitors such as Intel and Advanced Micro Devices.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang may announce during his opening speech at 8:00 PM GMT the next generation of AI processors designed by the company. The B100 chip is expected to bring significant improvements over its predecessor, the H100 model.

While Nvidia is primarily known as a chip designer, the company has also developed a range of software products, and Jensen Huang is expected to unveil new products in this field on Monday.

Nvidia, based in Santa Clara, California, is holding its GTC conference in person this year for the first time since 2019 and expects to receive 16,000 participants, about double the number of the last in-person event.
