École de Management Léonard de Vinci (EMLV) is a Bac + 5 business school founded in 1995, located at the Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci in Paris La Défense. The campus also houses an engineering school (ESILV), a multimedia project management school (IIM), and a few finance masters from the University Paris-Dauphine and the Skema Business School. The program lasts for 5 years and the Diploma is validated by the state at Bac+4.
During the first cycle, the EMLV offers a curriculum with a focus on fundamental management teachings at the beginning and a progression towards professional teachings. After two years of common core and a third year entirely in English, students choose a specialization in “Marketing-Commerce”, “Management and Human Resources”, or “Finance-Management Control”, and then a “professional option” in the fifth year. Throughout the cycles, exercises are carried out in small groups to teach students how to work in teams. These assignments culminate in “junior consultant projects” commissioned by companies at the end of the program.
During the first cycle of the three-year Bachelor’s degree, which combines the acquisition of management fundamentals, personal development of the student, and practical applications of the course, students must work on a virtual company creation project in groups. General culture and political economics courses complement these teachings to develop critical thinking and open-mindedness among students. It is worth noting that as part of their schooling, students participate in a sports activity of their choice.
The third year of the Bachelor’s degree at EMLV, a post-baccalaureate management school, is international. Students have the choice to go on an internship in a foreign country or follow courses provided by partner universities in many countries.
During the third year, it is possible to study for one or two semesters abroad in more than 40 partner universities spread across the following countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, South Korea, Denmark, Spain, United States, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden.
Double degree agreements: French-Italian diploma from the École Polytechnique de Turin, French-German diploma from the University of Reutlingen, French-Spanish diploma from the University of San Pablo in Madrid, and French-British diploma from the University of South Bank in London.
