Trois start-ups bruxelloises innovantes financées par la Région: Lileo, Sentometrics et Wanit

Lileo (formerly known as Momly) develops a portable breast pump powered by a battery that connects to the mother’s phone via bluetooth. “This innovative breast pump aims to improve and make more efficient the often uncomfortable process of milk pumping for breastfeeding mothers,” details Innoviris.

Sentometrics is a company that monitors the Belgian media landscape to identify environmental, social, and governance (ESG) events. To do this, it uses artificial intelligence to contribute to corporate social responsibility and sustainability. The company was founded as a spin-off of the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB). The project emerged from a collaboration with the Belga news agency, as part of the Innoviris Joint R&D program.

Wanit, on the other hand, offers a hot water preheater that draws its energy from photovoltaic solar panels. “Wanit thus contributes to making existing buildings more energy-efficient, as well as providing access to more sustainable and less costly energy,” points out Innoviris.

This funding is granted by the Brussels-Capital Region to stimulate the ecosystem of local startups and generate leverage for young Brussels-based technology companies.
