According to my city, a remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is currently being developed by Ubisoft Singapore.
This is particularly interesting because the studio is currently busy developing… Skull & Bones, a pirate game that currently lacks public confidence. Kotaku notes that employees are forced to work very long days at the studio in order to prepare Skull & Bones for its closed beta in August.
According to leaked emails, the developers are considering giving a Black Flag vibe to Skull & Bones, including adding cooperative and real close combat; currently, Ubisoft Singapore’s next game only features a loading screen instead of true island exploration.
Delayed multiple times, with a beta and videos that struggle to convince, Skull & Bones was unveiled in 2017 and seems to be more of a thorn in Ubisoft’s side. Discussions about a remake of Black Flag seem to be in the early stages, so don’t expect a finalized project for several years. Nevertheless, a modernized version of this excellent Assassin’s Creed will surely please the fans!
