Une montre radiamètre révolutionnaire développée par une microentreprise suisse

At the next gamma ray, it will indicate exactly 3.2 microsieverts per hour. Nuclear experts have already understood. For others, we are talking about the flow of radioactivity to which an individual is exposed, the dose rate, and the instrument that measures it, the radiometer. As old as the Geiger counter, except that this radiometer is special. The novelty is in its form: a watch. A smartwatch developed for the global nuclear industry and designed by a very local micro-enterprise, North Eagles, based in La Neuveville in the Bernese Jura.

This smartwatch is packed with intelligence and sensors. It is connected from everywhere. It automatically triggers the alarm in case of radiation overdose or discomfort. It geolocates the wearer with precision. All of this is wrapped in a very watch-like aesthetic, brushed titanium case, polygonal frame, touch screen, integrated polymer strap, design by the Neuchâtel agency White.
