Wout van Aert, omniprésent sur la 10e étape du Tour de France, raconte sa course mouvementée

Wout van Aert once again dominated the roads of the 10th stage of the Tour de France, which took place between Vulcania and Issoire.

The Jumbo-Visma team rider attacked, was dropped, rode for his leader Jonas Vingegaard, attacked again in the company of Mathieu van der Poel… All this under scorching heat.

From the beginning, it was tough and I didn’t have the expected legs,” detailed Wout van Aert after the finish to RTBF. “I still tried at the start of the stage, but I exploded and needed some rest afterwards. I was dropped and when I came back, I tried to help the team. The attack with Mathieu van der Poel? It was strange! It wasn’t really an attack from my part. Mathieu was leading, he was riding for Jasper Philipsen, and he approached the descent really fast! I was the only one from the team behind him, and we found ourselves in the peloton. But it was useless, the leading group still had a two-minute advantage. But it allowed me to approach the last climb at my own pace and help my teammates in the final.
