Live stream Xbox Showcase and Starfield Direct: Follow live conferences, announcement by announcement
E3 2023 did not take place, but some manufacturers and publishers have decided to celebrate this period formerly known as the “Great Gaming Show” by offering a series of conferences. After the Summer Game Fest organized and presented by Geoff Keighley and the Future Games Show, it’s now Microsoft’s turn to speak during its famous Xbox Showcase. This year, the North American company is going all out by broadcasting a Starfield-dedicated live stream right after the Xbox Showcase. The Xbox Showcase starts at 7:00 pm (French time) on June 11, 2023.
The Xbox Showcase
2022 was a year with a slightly special flavor for the Xbox brand, which offered players very few exclusives and first-party titles. In 2023, Microsoft must pull out all the stops, and this should be the case during its traditional Xbox Showcase dated this time on June 11. Marketing Director Aaron Greenberg promised that the conference will present games and only games, which should delight fans of the green X. The American manufacturer has already confirmed the presence of two of them at its summer event. The first is obvious since a live stream is entirely dedicated to it just after the Xbox Showcase. This is, of course, Starfield, the futuristic role-playing game from Bethesda Softworks.
The second is none other than Forza Motorsport, the automobile simulation from Turn 10 Studios. Players are also hoping for news on several titles still in development that could make 2023 Microsoft’s year if they made the excellent surprise of arriving in Game Pass during the next semester. Here is a non-exhaustive list: Ara History Untold, Avowed, Contraband, Everwild, Fable, Indiana Jones, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, State of Decay 3. Finally, Microsoft would be inspired to unveil the new projects of Compulsion Games (We Happy Few), ID Software (Doom), InXile (Wasteland 3), and The Coalition (Gears of War) to perfect this evening placed under the X of Xbox.
The Starfield Direct
After unveiling the video game future of the Xbox brand with a Showcase focused on video games and nothing but video games, Microsoft will highlight one of the most anticipated games of 2023. Starfield is an RPG (Role Playing Game) and a Space Opera developed and published by Bethesda Softworks. We owe this North American publisher the sagas Doom, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Dishonored, The Elder Scrolls, etc. Officially announced at E3 2018, the title nicknamed by some “Skyrim in space” will take off 5 years later, on September 6, 2023, on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
